The Master of Social Sciences in Educational Psychology [MSocSc(EP)] programme is a two-year full-time programme. The [MSocSc(EP)] programme aims to provide training and instruction in the field of Educational Psychology with the ultimate goal of training professional Educational Psychologists who can practice in Hong Kong, China. The programme aims and learning outcomes will cover core professional roles and functions of Educational Psychologists in the local context, including but not limit to, managing cases involving learning and behavioural-emotional issues which require intellectual/ personality assessment and intervention, providing advice to teachers on the development and implementation of developmental/ preventive/ educational/ intervention programmes, designing, organizing and implementing training programmes for school staff and parents, and conducting research projects. The programme adopts a scientist-practitioner model which emphasises the synergistic value of academic studies, research, and practical experience.
The MSocSc(EP) programme is a 78-credit-point (cp) programme comprising 21 courses. The cps for each course range from 2 to 9 cps. Students are required to complete all courses to graduate.

Entry Requirement
To be eligible for admission to the MSocSc(EP) Programme of the Education University of Hong Kong, a candidate shall fulfil the following requirements:
- Hold a Bachelor’s degree with a major in Psychology, or a recognised equivalent qualification;
- Fulfill the “English Language Proficiency Requirement” as shown on the programme website
- Be eligible for the Graduate Membership of The Hong Kong Psychological Society;
- Preferably have relevant working experience in educational or related settings; and
- Pass a written test and interview
